Join Fana Bangoura and Mounafanyi this weekend for two incredible shows at local farmers’ markets! We’ll be performing at Portland’s Lents and Hollywood markets, offering audiences the high-energy percussion and dance traditions of Guinea, West Africa. Here are the details:

Mounafanyi’s artistic director Fana Bangoura has recently returned home from a trip to Guinea to visit his friends and family. He’s come back energized from drumming and dancing daily with Ballet Fareta, his group in Guinea, and he’s ready to rock the Portland markets! Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the sunshine, buy some local produce, and see an incredible performance by some of Portland’s most talented African musicians, accompanied by their students.
